4/1/2004
Station began recording data (signature 386.1)
?/?/2004
MET 202 field trip; false tip of raingauge by student (Finney; White)
7/17/2004
Visual inspection, bare plot cleared by hand (White)
8/12/2004
Data interruption due to maintenance? (Finney?)
10/12/2004
Installation of redundant sensors, infrared surface temperature, etc.; Solar radiation sensors and solar panel moved higher (between approximately 09:00 to 16:00) (Finney; White)
10/13/2004?
Faulty connection to radiation sensors fixed (Galloway)
1/26/2005
Updated datalogger program (signature 2196) for sensors installed on 10/12/2004 (data lost between 09:32 and 9:47) (Finney)
3/25/2005
Visual inspection, photographs, bare plot cleared by hand (between 12:50 and 13:20) (White)
6/17/2005 (?)
Visual inspection, bare plot cleared by hand (White)
10/13/2005
Visual inspection, second barometer installed, bare plot cleared by hand, SK-13 applied to bare plot, desiccant changed, putty applied to second enclosure opening, wiring documented, photographs (White)
10/28/2005
Datalogger program reinstalled (signature 3768) (data lost between 18:28 and 18:49) (White)
11/2/2005
Updated datalogger program (signature 6345) for consistency with new Calhoun City program, logging of backup pressure (in position of LAIS longitude), and 50 cm and 100 cm bare soil temperatures (in LAIS position of wind speed standard deviations) (data lost between 11:52 and 11:57). (Site visit still required to connect the sensors.) (White)
11/5/2005 (11:50 am to 1:10 pm)
Rewired IRTS for single-ended measurements on SE1 and SE2; wired 50 cm and 100 cm bare soil thermocouples to SE3 and SE4; rewired grounds for backup barometer; bare soil plot in good condition; followup application of SK-13 onto bare soil plot; photo documentation of mounting fixtures, etc.; cleaned TB3 raingauge (by hand, no water); visual confirmation of multiplexer wiring. (White)
11/7/2005
Updated datalogger program (signature 5301) for single-ended measurements of IRTS and to log 50 cm and 100 cm bare soil temperatures (data lost between 10:18 and 10:22 am); datalogger clock reset (was 20 seconds fast). IR surface temperature data between Nov. 5-7 should be disregarded. (White)
12/8/2005 (9:37 am to 2:58 pm)
Re-connected 50 cm soil thermocouple grounds; installed jumper on second barometer; cleaned all applicable sensors and solar panel, except radiation; lowered and raised tower; switched out LSU vertical anemometer for JSU one; connected multiplexer; removed faulty Lantronix network device; verified bare soil plot condition; manually downloaded data. (White; Mahecha)
12/14/2005
New Lantronix network device installed. (Galloway)
3/1/2006
Communications interruption began at about 2100. (White)
3/30/2006
Communications interruption diagnosed due to network cable failure within building. Data downloaded to laptop without any data loss from Area 1. New datalogger problem installed to more evenly store data between Area 1 and Area 2. Visual inspection of site. Possible need to replace bearings on anemometer. (White)
4/3/2006
Communications restored using network cable to alternate wall jack. (Galloway)
6/13/2006 (4:15 to 5:00 pm)
Encroaching grass removed from bare soil plot; multiplexer cables temporarily removed (interrupting
logging of soil moisture and temperature under sod); 2 m
temperature mount was realligned at 4:40 from having been knocked into horizontal position,
presumably during mowing; Area 2 data downloaded; photographs taken. Cable for barometer #1
came loose so that data were lost. (White)
6/15/2006 (1:21 to 2:47 pm)
Cable for barometer #1 was reconnected, restoring pressure data; multiplexer cables were
reconnected, so that logging of soil moisture and temperature under sod was restored. (White)
8/3/2006
Area 2 data downloaded; visual inspection, photographs. (White)
